Join the Global Water Utility Competence Centre!
Do you have extensive sales experience, and do you know your way around a waste water plant? Then this is your chance to take on a challenging and highly independent role with a global scope.
As a global sales development manager, you get to put your skills to the test as you travel to support local sales companies within waste water treatment solutions.
You will join the General Sales Development team, part of the Global Water Utility Competence Centre (GWUC). Our focus is on boosting global sales within five main areas: water supply and irrigation, water treatment, flood control, waste water transport and waste water treatment. Your 3 sales development colleagues work out of Australia, Sweden and Norway respectively, and while we meet twice a year, we speak regularly. While the centre is located in Copenhagen, you can also choose to work from one of our other offices around the world, e.g. in the UK, Germany, Italy or Spain.
“This is an exciting role with big responsibility and great freedom. Representing a market leader in the field of water utility, you will be travelling extensively. In that connection, you will meet a wide range of partners, from plant staff to politicians,” says Jan Pedersen, Global Sales Development Director.
Boost sales within waste water treatment
You will focus on waste water treatment. Reporting to the Sales Development Director, you spend around 50% of your time travelling as you meet with local sales companies and customers to boost sales through training, guidance and technical support. Doing so, you collaborate with the GWUC Leadership team, GWUC specialists within project execution and solution engineering, cluster managers, key account managers, the local sales force, key customers and external partners.
Specifically, you:
• Visit major influencers
• Ensure implementation of new strategies and make action plans with the local sales companies or the region
• Provide sales training and business coaching for the local sales companies
• Assist with identifying technical solutions if necessary
• Participate in national and international project sales
“You increase sales in your market by providing support for the sales companies. This means guiding them, contributing with your technical insight to give the customers confidence and getting stakeholders to work together towards a common goal,” says Jan Pedersen.
