Duties:
Situated at the crossroads of technology and science, the ambition of the “Large-scale instruments Characterization” programme of IRT Nanoelec is to foster innovation in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics by providing a bridge between, on the one hand, Grenoble’s large-scale research facilities, namely the Institut Laue-Langevin, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) and the LPSC (Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology), and, on the other hand, the CEA and several major industrial partners. Within the framework of this programme, the Platform for Advanced Characterisation – GRENOBLE (PAC-G) has been set up in order to satisfy the advanced characterisation needs of industry, and in particular the electronics sector. In order to strengthen its deployment, the PAC-G is looking for an engineer to develop this new service offering.
You will join the ILL’s Industrial Liaison Unit and will report directly to the director of IRT Nanoelec’s Large-scale instruments Characterization programme. It will be your role to contribute to the success of the PAC-G in collaboration with staff from the CEA LETI, LPSC, ESRF and ILL.
In particular, you will be responsible for:
• The upstream development of PAC-G services aimed at the electronics industry in order to consolidate a service offering that is competitive and relevant: prospecting, marketing, customer contacts, communication, etc.
• The organisation of the process for making the PAC-G services available, in relation with potential customers and the partner facilities
• Reporting on PAC-G activities (periodic programme reports) with the scientists in charge of the programme’s activities
• Producing, at the end of your contract, a development plan for the PAC-G for the period 2020-2025: service offering, operational organisation, economic development strategy, etc.
Applications from scientists or engineers able to obtain a secondment period from their home institution will be considered
