Position Summary
The Butler creates an added value to the overall experience of the in-house guest. This entails guest recognition and personalized service such as welcoming all guests, knowing their preferences and creating a relationship with the guests to ensure a lasting and memorable stay. The Butler acts as link between the guest and the hotel management by ensuring all guest requests are followed up.
Butler Duties and Responsibilities:
• Researching guest information/ preferences upon arrival.
• Preparing the rooms for guest arrival, make sure the rooms are in perfect conditions.
• Fully aware of the Room Service and other outlets menu, answers questions on menu selections.
• Meet and greet all guests on arrival ensuring that a smooth sequence of the arrival and departure is followed.
• Provide discreet, efficient and effective, professional butler service to all assigned home suites.
• Updating the system pro hotel after guest arrivals.
• Packing/ unpacking.
• Serving a wake up/ evening complimentary beverage.
• Order taking, setting up and serving.
• Looking after guest needs like sight-seeing, ticketing, laundry and shoe shine service, etc.
• Maintain the privacy and ensure security of in-house guests.
• Maintain effective communication with all other related departments, ensure all guest request and preferences are anticipated and handled effectively.
• Liaise closely and considerately with Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Front Office, Food and Beverage, Concierge and Wellbeing departments.
• Handling guest complaints.
