A Director of Sales with Hilton Hotels & Resorts leads and manages the Sales department to its fullest potential ensuring both current and future needs of the business are met. Works with the General Manager and Director of Business Development to continuously align and devise sales strategies and activities to retain and grow the business and maximize revenue in all sales influenced segments. To own all local accounts in their area of remit & to actively maintain relationships with those Key local Customers. To set and Monitor effective sales Targets for sales team members and manage Team performance on a quarterly basis, and provide adequate coaching and training. To manage key internal and external stakeholders. To create and implement effective sales planning in line with commercial strategy. To manage the annual IBT contracting through WW and RFP process. To play an active part in supporting GCE to convert key opportunities as and when required. To play an active part in networking with all HWS, ASO & SSO offices to increase awareness for the hotel needs and objectives and drive inbound business.
Main tasks and functions:
• Develop local account management network to secure new business.
• Support hotel with developing local account management plans to drive share and production.
• Co-ordinate annual planning schedule to capitalize on inbound and HWS activities including HFST
• On an annual basis identify the key retention and acquisition of accounts for each sales person.
• Ensure all sales people have effective short term and long term sales plans in place and sales team is contributing with other commercial functions to commercial focus process as appropriate.
• Ensure all sales people know who to refer sales leads to at other Hilton Worldwide hotels.
• Validate the Sales portion of key hotels’ revenue proposal.
• Participate to sales initiatives such as client workshops, roadshows, etc.
• Ensure that effective processes are in place for the recruitment, induction, training and development of all sales people.
• Analyse account production.
• Input on rate strategy.
• Develop powerful personal relationships with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
