You must be a confident car driver with a good level of English and above all a compassionate, patient and caring person. The domiciliary carer is a very important link between a person living at home who needs some assistance and the community. During a normal shift, you may need to help them get in or out of bed, assisting with washing and dressing, assisting with medication, supporting them with meal preparation, feeding and sometimes just providing some company for people who can at the times feel lonely and isolated.
