- Co-ordinate and discuss with the business and corporate IT essential strategic and tactical objectives that the company requires to meet its information technology objectives for infrastructure. - Act as a lead for server, network and infrastructure security implementation projects including cost-benefit analysis and budget formulation in particular in new and developing projects. - Responsible for all day to day activities of the infrastructure department. - Design, implement, manage and maintain a secure servers infrastructure utilizing equipment and software from various vendors. - Regular meetings with the various business units capturing their requirements and preparing the project plans, implementing the plan, controlling costs, time and scope of the projects appropriately. - Organise the team to monitor, manage, troubleshoot and adjust infrastructure environment including remotely for optimal performance and 24-7 availability - Provide knowledge of currently implemented technologies and research new and emerging technologies applicable to the business. Develop and document high-level technical designs. - Research, evaluate and recommend new products, services and equipment to best support current and future operations. - Work with IT management and internal clients to develop processes and procedures for providing outstanding support and streamlined installations - Maintain and manage effective vendor and contractor relationships for ancillary support - Manage cost and infrastructure initiatives, systems upgrades, cost reduction initiatives and implementation projects. Establish client project guidelines, prepare plans and monitor the progress of targets. Ensure constant communication by reporting status or issues internally to peers, to the business and to corporate IT.
