The position: As Senior Automation Engineer you will be responsible for developing and professionalizing the automation systems on board of naval vessels. You will work on new concepts and developing the design together with the Automation Engineers. You are involved in research and development projects and therefore you will regularly participate in research projects as well. Specific duties in this role include: • Taking the lead in both the concept and engineering phase of the systems. • Preparing specifications. • Coordinating the engineering activities with the engineering team and subcontractors. • Performing research studies for new automation concepts with the research department. Who are we looking for: To be successful in this position, we expect the following: • A BSc of MSc degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering. • At least ten years of experience as Automation Engineer, working in the maritime field. • Experienced in coordinating Automation Engineers. • Have excellent communication skills in technical English.
