We need an excellent cook/chef to prepare an evening meal, four nights a week. You must have experience and be able to provide a menu, offering 2 starter options, two mains and a home-made dessert. We cater for a maximum of 12 guests and all guests eat at the same time. We also take orders in advance for ease and to reduce wastage. We are well used to catering for our guests´ special dietary requirements & allergies (eg gluten-free, vegetarian).
In addition to providing evening meals, you will also be required to set up breakfast several days of the week. You must speak English. A basic level of Spanish would be helpful, though not essential. You will need to liaise with guests and (at least once a week) you will be duty manager to ensure the owners have a half day.
Ideally you should be naturally sociable, enjoy working with people and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to work five days a week, with two free days.
We are a small team and we, the owners, are very much involved in all aspects of the day-to- day running of the hotel. We are currently a team of 4 and we are all passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking.
Your accommodation will be on site, comprising of a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private outside terrace. You would have your own entrance, so you can come and go as you please. Note - should there be any issues during the night, you would need to respond, eg guest requirements, fire alarm etc. But this is extremely rare. The owners live off site, a short drive away.You would be full time 5 days a week.
We would pay 700 - 1000 euros per month, depending on ability and experience, in addition to free accommodation and full board. You may also have access to (and will be insured for) a car with prior notice. Your days off would probably be a Monday & Tuesday.
