The Internal Sales Specialist must win, manage and develop customer accounts effectively, ensuring that agreed service levels and appropriate revenue and margin levels are achieved in line with the Annual Operating Plan targets and compliancy rules and regulations.
To maximise revenue and profit in line with annual AOP Targets
To be able to respond effectively to enquiries from new customers and to have a proactive approach and seek new/ incremental opportunities where possible.
To understand sales systems and processes in order to ensure they are maintained appropriately
Project teams as required.
To build a customer relationship with specific customers and become their single point of contact for all issues. Grow the business by effectively selling products and services to this defined customer account base.
To process customer orders quickly and accurately , ensuring appropriate margins are achieved and that all transactions are carried out compliantly.
To provide specialist guidance to customers and local colleagues around international opportunities and cross border shipments showing expert knowledge in import/export compliance and VAT
To provide high quality support on International Large Customer- and Vendor Tenders and execute on assigned tasks respecting aggressive deadlines.
To produce quotes quickly and accurately, follow up on quotes, manage a sales pipeline, and provide a weekly sales forecast.
To manage vendor promotion pricing by comprehending the terms of vendor promotions/ price supports, submitting vendor claims, and managing expiration dates.
To effectively manage customer returns from request to completion.
To ensure customer shipping queries are resolved (Short shipments, lost shipments, damaged shipments)
To provide reporting as per customer and management requirements.
To respond quickly and effectively to all customer queries in an effective and professional manner.
Work closely and effectively with the external sales force. both in country and in the IBT (e.g. IBT Sales Director) to win, manage and grow the client base, and showing excellence in execution
Ensure Quality of Service and SLA's are state of the art.
To be team spirited and carry out any other duties necessary for the efficient running of the team
To use initiative to problem solve in order to maximise revenue
To identify spend trends within client base and highlight any opportunities for growth
Key performance indicators include (but is not exclusive to):
Achievement of appropriate margin targets
Achievement of appropriate revenue targets
Achievement of Customer SLA's
Customer Satisfaction measured against regularly conducted official customer feedback survey's
Ability to be proactive and resolve issues under own initiative
Able to work effectively in time pressured situations ensuring deadlines are met
Experience and training in VAT and Import/Export Compliancy and ability to apply this knowledge correctly in adhoc requests
Ability to work well in a multi-tasking environment
Able to communicate clearly and confidently
Multi-lingual capabilities
Strong Analytical and Numerical skills and the ability to think logically
Strong IT skills particularly Excel
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Good customer focus with experience in a customer focused role
Experience in a Sales environment
Ability to make commercial decisions on behalf of customer and team
