Team Purpose:
The network & Sercurity team is responsible for the Design, delivery and operation of the customer network and Connectis customer management network. We have over 700 firewalls in our management estate consist of Checkpoint, Juniper and Cisco ASA firewall and a vast array of Cisco and Arista switches.
Role Purpose:
-To Design, Deliver and operate customer solution and maintain Managed IT infrastructure 24*7*365 days
-Conduct and lead network projects, operate simple to complex requests
-Reports to Network & Security team leader
Responsibilities/Accountability:
-Work as part of a pan European team, working within standard processes.
-Delivers & Manage the network infrastructure and services within Connectis Managed Cloud space. The scope is Switches, Routers, Load Balancer, firewalls and other security devices.
-Deliver the network & security part of a complex IT solution
-Define a standard for hardware, software versions, and configurations.
-Work with Solution Architects to review and develop the product catalogue.
-Follow Ticketing system and handle requests and incidents.
-Audit network platforms and procedures to ensure they are correctly documented and configured.
-Develop new templates to optimize configurations and follow technology development.
-Deliver Knowledge transfer to other department (GSD, CO..)
-Audit internal and customer platforms to make sure they respect an acceptable level of security.
-Recommend Security best practices amongst GTN/CMC. Work in coordination with other technical teams to ensure the overall security meet business expectations.
-Strong focus on Continuous Service Improvement.
-Take part in an on-call rota so we can deliver services 24x7.
-Interface directly with clients during incident, problem and CRQ implementation or resolution.
-Support project based work around end of life and network optimisation.
-Strong communication and interface skills to other functional areas.
-To potentially work within the Data Centres to resolve incidents that cannot be resolved remotely.
-International travel may be required.
