Role Summary The position of Senior SQL Developer role requires that you understand the importance of communication in order to work with various teams within the Product section. The ideal candidate will help our Client with fine tuning existing functions, contribute ideas, and also act as the key person to discuss and develop new features with the development team. Key Responsibilities: • Attend sprint sessions. • Enhance and fix complex stored procedures. • Understand business or client requirements to develop new reports. • Ensure that the changes required in the sprint are performed. • Provide feedback and apply fixes were necessary to critical issues. • Work with the development team to create/design schemas, stored procedures, SQL scripts, reports, etc. • SQL code performance; tuning and code optimization. • Create and maintain documentation.
Requirements: • 4+ years with using Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL professionally – SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012 and/or 2014. • Extensive experience with both writing and optimization of complex queries and stored procedures. • Experience reviewing database design and integration of systems, including making recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements. • Experience with maintenance of large datasets. • Expertise in data modeling, indexes and debugging both SQL code and data related issues. • Exposure to extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) skills using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Transact-SQL. • Strong analytical and questioning skills.
