During a humanitarian mission in CAPE VERDE, our missionaries are helping disadvantaged children of orphanages or nurseries. The missions differ from traditional work camps by their individualization: the missionaries individually choose their starting date and duration of the mission. Here is a great opportunity to help this country in Francophone Africa and discover a rich and diverse culture! But beware: CAPE VERDE is one of the poorest countries in Africa, and living conditions in orphanages may be offensive. The contribution of our missionaries is needed from various institutions: - Orphanages - Nurseries - A school for deaf children Missionaries give their time to stimulate children in their development, play with them and bring a little joy into their lives. You may like to organize educational activities, supporting the largest in their duties or do learning games with the children. Your actions are part of the goals of the action plan: organize educational activities, emotional support, and awareness about hygiene. We work with several structures commonly called "orphanages", although they do not welcome all only orphans, but often also children from very poor families or rural, not being able to take care and ensure their education. In a country where there is a lack of resources, these children are more vulnerable than others. They need special attention and volunteers must be prepared to give a lot of presence and availability.
