Job Purpose The SOX & Compliance Specialist will be responsible for leading the documentation, testing and remediation efforts required within the company's entities to ensure the full compliance with the Internal & External audits and Sarbanes Oxley. The position will report directly to the Finance Manager of the entities. Accountabilities: Lead the compliance documentation and testing requirements within the company. Develop and monitor implementation of remediation plans. Monitor implementation of internal audit recommendations. Coordination with external and internal audit to ensure full compliance and to maximise efficiency. Main point of contact for the Internal & external auditors. Main point of contact for the Local teams and Corporate to ensure that the entities are compliant in all the areas. Ongoing communication with the Corporate team to create and maintain all the controls updated and mitigate any risk for the company. Accumulation of results to meet certification requirements. Sharing of best practices Response to new control issues Address compliance control issues and remediation plan with the Finance Director or Finance Manager. Controls training of business process owners. Review workpapers prepared by SOX Compliance Leaders to ensure quality and consistency of work.
Knowledge of internal controls, process documentation and testing. Knowledge of broad business practices, risks and internal controls. Able to accurately attend to detail and spot errors when analysing internal controls and financial processes. Ability to plan projects effectively to deliver quality results on time and on budget. Able to organise tasks and time effectively to ensure completion of all work assignments. Possess strong analytical and mathematical reasoning skills and control orientation to effectively perform analysis of financial data. Experience in liaising with auditors. Possess strong communication skills. Able to work constructively under stress and pressure. Ability to supervise and train staff members. Able to apply accurate knowledge in solving problems in both administrative and accounting functions. Able to assume responsibility and make sound, appropriate decisions.
