Job Purpose: Role based in Barcelona - Spain. Job Purpose The Supply Chain Analyst studies the movement of goods and information through the supply chain, to identify gaps in efficiency and other areas needing improvement. She/He uses analytical and quantitative methods to understand, forecast and recommend improvements to supply chain processes. She/He may also be required to maintain databases, prepare reports, track product flow, and develop solutions to supply chain problems and inefficiencies. Operationally, he/she is the bridge between Inventory Planning and Logistics. Accountabilities: Provide consultancy to the Inventory Planning Director on the operation of the physical distribution network Recommend the optimal distribution model for new vendors being on-boarded Perform regular reviews of the distribution model for existing vendors and recommend changes to stakeholders when appropriate Maintain the costing models for physical distribution that support efficient decision taking Drive the improvement of the information flows that support the supply chain management Provide Supply Chain expertise and take a lead on complex situations Own and manage through to completion any ad hoc projects relevant to supply chain optimization. Maintain the daily operational view of the product flows and work with the inventory planners and logistic teams to detect and solve product flow issues.
Skills The aspiring supply chain analyst must be adept at complex problem solving, critical thinking, and written and verbal communication.
