The purpose of Business Continuity Management is to identify the key parts of the organization critical to its ability to continue to function and implement agreed plans to mitigate the effects of such incidents (provide resilience). The Business Continuity Officer has the role to write, implement and test the Business Continuity Plan of the Company. The post holder will have excellent skills in working with departmental heads and their teams to motivate, explain, capture and record information and data. The post holder will also have experience of implementing Business Continuity Plans in other undertakings, ideally in a railway industry environment. This experience and knowledge should include implementing ISO9001 and more particularly ISO22301 (or UK Business Continuity Management Standard BS25999)
