It is driven by a passion to deliver profitable growth and by partnering the business in all our operational functions. As a Cost Engineer, you'll be part of a dynamic team focused on specific vehicle commodities. The role of Cost Engineering is to provide the business with robust, relevant, and timely should-cost estimates and analysis relating to any part or assembly supplied for use in the production of Jaguar or Land Rover vehicles, be they current or future models. More specifically, your role will revolve around delivering should-cost estimates for a specific sub-set of parts, providing insight and support to Advanced Engineering in the form of Value Engineering studies, and supporting the Purchase team in their negotiations with suppliers. You'll also be involved in identifying and supporting the implementation of opportunities to reduce costs and use this to influence relevant programmes and commodity directions.
