Within the Power Supplies Group - a team of 11 engineers and technicians - you will participate in the development and maintenance of power supplies for the new accelerators. The ESRF has indeed started an ambitious modernization program named "Extremely Brilliant Source" (EBS), under which a new accelerator complex with challenging characteristics is being designed and will be installed in the next few years. Your missions are the following: • Assist the Group Head in the procurement of several thousands of power converters • Analyze the power quality and efficiency of the electrical conversion for the new EBS machine • Set-up the proper functioning of the operation of the equipment • Identify and organize the power supplies' refurbishment and upgrades • Support group activities (meetings, coordination, scheduling...) • Participate in all the Power Supplies group standby and callable activities as well as in the continuous operation of the facility, for up to 15% of your time
