Alliance Group is seeking contact Freelance Broadcast Operators that are interested in working within our Technical department to cover peak periods. At the core of the station's technical facilities, the Broadcast Operator is responsible for the technical quality during the acquisition, processing and delivery of live and recorded Media content. They manage the loading of multiple traffic strands on the OCS's networks and also ensures the Operational Stability and Continuity from Ingest all the way to the Delivery of Media to our Digital Platforms and Linear Distribution partners. RESPONSIBILITIES · Operate and also verify Station workflow processes. These include Scheduling, NRCS, MAM, PAM, Ingest, Graphics, Automation systems and Publishing on OTT Platform · Undertake Quality Control and Relevant Technical adjustments of all incoming and outgoing Media Files and Streams. · Undertake Pro-active Monitoring on Digital Distribution Platform through regular Health Checks and regular procedures. · Provide Reactive Support on Digital Distribution platform according to defined workflows and escalation procedure. · Being part of the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) service, answer internal and external users Platform issues by qualifying and allocating issues through OCS Ticketing System · Ensure Synchronisation with 3rd Party Ticketing systems · Monitor Content Creation Platform through Operations Support System · Operate Ingest Systems and ensure incoming Media is correctly processed to various in-house formats · Coordinate effectively with all External Operations to support Live remote operations via satellite, fibre, or IP networks. · Operate the core technical facilities for the acquisition and delivery of all Media Content · Reports clearly all technical or operational issues observed during transmissions · Identify faults and take immediate preventative action to restore traffic. · Undertakes routine testing, preventative and corrective maintenance of transmission systems and ancillary equipment. · Provide operational and engineering support to other technical areas within the station · Ensure Correct Transmission procedures are implemented · Ensure the monitoring and adjustment of incoming video streams according to the OCS Broadcasting Technical Standards · Operate Automation system, verify schedules, monitor outbound services, detect and resolve service incidents. · Ensure that OCS's Media output adheres to guidelines set down by regulatory authorities. · Ensure Metadata enrichment is processed adequately along various workflow chains. · Report precisely all technical and operational issues through Logs and Handovers
