Mission : * Regarding project Opel D2XX Facelift, he is in charge of : design, product validation , the associated means (moulds, injection systems, checking fixtures, validation equipment, etc.) . He manages specialists and experts from several activities link to his scope of responsibility. (See Optimap book : CAD, Tooling and injection , Lab, CAE). He manages entire product engineering budget allocated by project (hours and travels cost). Dimension : * Provides support when requested in relation to the project's pre-contract phases (expertise phase, acquisition phase) Depending on the type and size of his/her project the role : can be combined with another Core Team activities; is only focused on the Product Engineering perimeter. Can be combined with one or more extended team activities. Activities : * Define Product perimeter : Statement Of Work Bill of material * Analyze Customer Needs and Draw-up PO Specifications * Complete Design Study using POAE standards (POMS and TESIS) for prototype / production * Ensure design for manufacturing considering development CNQ, PPM, poka-yoke design * Make Geometrical Analysis (Craftsmanship : Gap and flushness Tolerances, Datum scheme, GD recommendations) * Manage internal and external components specifications and drawings * Manage and perform risk analysis (DFMEA + Design reviews, Quad Reviews) * Validate Design : prototype / production * Manages Specifications, manufacturing and validation of the means (injection tools, checking fixtures, test jigs, End Of Arm Tooling ) * Manages Product validation (functional, geometrical and cosmetic quality) * Manages Product tuning (mould tuning, control fixture tuning, tuning loops compliance). Project Management : * He insures coordination of specialists and experts of his extended team * He manages manufacturing project review and realize reporting and action plans * He manages manufacturing schedule, consolidates actions, insures synthesis and reporting of realized actions * He defines initial Statement of Work of product engineering perimeter including extended team, regarding project perimeter, development budget (hours, hourly rate, travel cost) and Optimap Work Packages * He follows achievement of actions * He follows manufacturing OPTIMAP procedures * Budget management * He determines at the beginning of the project provisional budget (hours and cost) * He proposes adjustments and modifications link to perimeter evolution during project life time * He determines internal and external perimeter regarding SOW and proposes to Program Manager adjustments and modifications link to perimeter evolution during project life time * He insures the follow up of budget of project and alerts in case of gap * Continuous improvement * Participates in the continuous improvement of the business, of our organizations and methodologies, in capitalization actions and in productivity actions * Takes part in the set-up and implementation of the progress plan * At the end of the project, takes part in the project assessment and demonstrates best quality practice and the difficulties encountered. Capitalize in TESIS. * Proposes solutions at technical and department meetings, in order to develop and improve the performance.
