Descripción
The candidate´s main responsibilities are:
1. Manage Buying Leads
Receive and understand buying project needs from the Sales team. Assist to prepare and send quotation requests. Follow up to collect and organize all relevant data related to: product specifications, samples, pricing, purchasing conditions, etc.
Reply to the Sales team requests on time - work against tight deadlines
Support the bidding process for tenders as required by the area manager
Product Sourcing
Assist the area manager to make inquiries to new suppliers for some products as requested by the area manager
Build supplier relationships, create and update supplier and product database
Carry out and ensure Kaelis Procurement policies and best practices
Request samples upon specific inquiry from other team members
Will have many opportunities to participate in industry trade shows
2. Process Purchase Orders
Provide necessary product information and pricing to issue purchasing orders; respond to price requests on the ERP system maintaining an adequate level of efficiency
Follow up the internal authorization process of purchase orders
Prepare and send authorized purchasing orders to suppliers and ensure they are duly accepted
3. Supplier relations, order execution and product quality management
Communicate with the assigned suppliers on a frequent basis to coordinate: production status, quality issues (as required by manager), samples, delivery times etc. and manage any compliance issues as indicated by the area manager
Participate in periodical supplier meetings together with the Procurement manager
