Job description: As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the construction of electrical installations on board of yachts and mega yachts. Among others, you will be responsible for fitting, connecting and maintain electrical and electronic products and systems by studding and following technical drawings and instructions from the Project Engineer. This position is based in Barcelona and in Palma de Mallorca. Specific duties in this role include: - Reading and following technical drawings. - Fitting electronic products and systems on board of the ships. - Determining cable routing. - Grounding of electrical engineering equipment. - Doing basic calculations and adjusting parameters for electronic products. - Checking and testing work done and register details. - Help and guide other (student) electricians. Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who has experience in hands-on work for electrical and electronic installations in the industry. Additionally, the following requirements should be met: - Having Secondary Education Electrical Engineering or similar. - Having relevant working experience. - Speaking English and Spanish fluently. - Willing to travel for short periods of time worldwide. Preferred criteria: - Having experience in the shipbuilding / yacht building industry. - Living in the area of Barcelona or Mallorca. What we offer: This is not a projected-based position, so the company will invest in you and in your personal & professional development. You will special training in the Netherlands during your first weeks in the company, and we will help you with bureaucratic and practical issues related to the new job. The base salary for this position depends on your experience and capabilities, being around 20.000€ gross per year (negotiable). You will have a Spanish contract including, among others, a mobile phone and 22 holiday days per year. Even though it is a Dutch company, they operate internationally, being Barcelona, one of their working locations.
