The purpose is to promote service users well-being and to work with them ensuring their best interests are respected while assisting adults that require long term nursing needs as well as those moving back into independent living after a period of rehabilitation. The employer´s aim is to promote the independence, inclusion and well-being of people with support needs. We do this by working with individuals, their families, and partner agencies to deliver innovative, high quality services that meet the individual’s needs and aspirations in a person-centred way. The Nursing center is designed and well equipped, with a pleasant and comfortable environment for service users who require long term nursing care. The Rehabilitation Center is designed specifically for service users to help assist with skills in preparation for independent living for when they move back out into the community. As you will be looking after patients with neurological illness any experience in rehabilitation, neurological or specialist care would be beneficial. There is a full training and induction period over the first 2 weeks including shadow shifts. Many of the residents require hoisting (rooms are fitted with hoists) or assistance into wheelchairs or with PEG feeding and medication. There is a full physiotherapy and occupational therapy team on site with a hydro-pool and gym.
