Socio-educational activities with children Our missionaries are working on projects, socio-educational with several orphanages and shelters in Togo, located in the Lomé region, or in rural areas. You can work with: * Homes reserved to young boys or girls in social difficulty (young prostitutes or women raped) * Centres for special education for children with mental disabilities or physical (autism, syndrome of down...) * Orphanages for children of all ages, from babies to teens * Structures allowing the street children, or HIV-positive children * A centre for the elderly The areas of activity depend a great deal instead of your mission and the age of children or adults you care. Don't forget to tell us when you register with what audience you feel more comfortable to work, and if you have specific skills you want to make available. Note that your involvement in specific activities may also depend on your level of Spanish. Here are examples of tasks that you may need to perform: * Take care of babies and young children (feed them, bathe them, etc.) * Help the greatest to do their homework * Workshops for handicrafts, music, art * Develop sports activities * Teach the basic rules of life (the importance of hygiene, discipline, the Foundation of good communication, etc.) * Participate in the literacy of children (in Spanish or English) * Take care of the elderly * Restore self-confidence of youth in difficulty
