Within the mechanical assembly team, your main duties will be: - Assemble and test precision mechanical systems for the ESRF beamlines (motorised systems involving precision mechanics, vacuum chambers, etc) - Carry out preventive maintenance and improvements of cryogenic cooling units - Participate in the management of two self service machining workshops These tasks involve precision assembly works, tests (metrology, cryogenics, vacuum, motion tests), start up of motors using their associated control system, and writing assembly and tests reports. Part of the work will take place in a clean room environment.
