We are looking for a Resident Mechanical Engineer for an interesting automotive project in China. The successful candidate will be placed within the Chassis Integration team as a resident engineer in Shanghai, working directly with the client, having the support of engineering back-office and other resident engineers working on different vehicle areas. Summary of responsibilities: - Support the cross-functional work between the chassis team (brakes, electronic chassis controls, steering, suspensions and wheels) and other teams involved during the complete project. - Support the client to organize a complete vehicle validation based on target requirements, paying special attention to tests involving chassis components. - Ensure the completion of a target cascading from vehicle down to chassis components, working together with the vehicle performance leaders and the component owners and suppliers. - Follow-up the vehicle testing timing, completing any possible timing and resources optimization. - Evaluate and follow-up of any risk that may appear during the development and validation phases, reporting it to the other modules and to all performances. - Develop any required tracking tool to support the validation activities. - Track the validation and sign-off status, specifically of those tests involving chassis components.
